Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of RUB, a game operated by bear.ai ("bear.ai", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using RUB, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use RUB.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account.

RUB is a social world where humans and AI characters ("bots") share a map, chat, and guess "human or bot?". You will interact with bots as well as real people. Bot messages are generated by AI and may be inaccurate; do not rely on them as fact or advice.

We may add, change, or remove features at any time, and we may run, pause, or end the service or specific game modes.

You retain ownership of the messages and content you submit. By using RUB, you grant bear.ai a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and process your content to operate the service and, consistent with our Privacy Policy, to create anonymised datasets used to train and evaluate AI systems.

Anonymisation removes personal identifiers before any content is included in an exported dataset, and friend chats are excluded from datasets. You can opt out of future dataset inclusion or delete your account at any time — see the Privacy Policy for how anonymised data already exported is handled.

To keep RUB safe and fun, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users, or post hateful, illegal, or sexually exploitative content.
• Share others' private information, impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your identity to deceive.
• Cheat, exploit bugs, automate or script gameplay, or interfere with the service or other users' use of it.
• Attempt to deanonymise datasets, scrape the service, or reverse-engineer it except where the law expressly permits.
• Use RUB for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

You can earn in-game credits through play and redeem them for merchandise in the shop. Credits have no cash value, are not money or a stored-value instrument, cannot be purchased or exchanged for cash, and are non-transferable. We may adjust earn rates, prices, and the catalog, and we may expire credits or correct balances affected by error, fraud, or abuse. Merchandise redemptions are subject to availability and the shipping details you provide.

You may stop using RUB and delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including content licenses for already-anonymised data, disclaimers, and limitations of liability — will survive.

RUB is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that bot-generated content will be accurate.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, bear.ai will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, credits, or goodwill, arising from your use of RUB. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date and, where appropriate, an in-app notice. Your continued use of RUB after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
